before and after

Meet Dr Koo

After spending years away from Texas for his post-secondary education, Dr. Koo moved back to the great state six years ago to serve the dental needs of his fellow Texans.

Raised in South Korea and Austin, Dr. Koo majored in biology at Brown University and attended the University of Pennsylvania for his dental degree.

Dr. Koo discovered his love for the surgical side of dentistry and implant dentistry during his residency year at NYU Langone Dental Medicine’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Before joining North Texas Dental Surgery, he gained extensive experience in surgical procedures at dental offices in Central Texas. Dr. Koo has placed and restored over a thousand implants for complete smile makeovers (“All-on-X”), snap-on dentures, and single tooth cases.

Outside of dental surgery, Dr. Koo enjoys weightlifting and karaoke. His favorite song to perform in front of a live audience? He’ll give you the answer when you meet him at NTDS.
