Will implant dentures cure my periodontal disease

Will implant dentures cure my periodontal disease?

Our mouths are full of bacteria. That bacteria can turn into an avid infection which can result in the swollen gum tissue, bleeding, bone loss, loose teeth, and pain.

When all your teeth are removed, all the infection is cleaned out as well because the bacteria is housed on the teeth root surfaces and in the actual tooth itself. Once the source of the infection is gone it will no longer be an issue.  It is important that your surgeon does a good job of disinfecting your mouth during the extraction procedure as well as removing all the infected bone that may be present in your mouth due to your periodontal disease.  Otherwise, this infected bone may present issues with your implants in the future.
